Totally Off-topic

A year ago on April 26th, my husband and I lost a good friend. Actually Joe was more than a good friend, he was family. It hurt terribly to lose Joe, especially since it didn't need to happen. Joe lost his battle with Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and committed suicide. He had just returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq in November of 2006 and in April 2007 left us with a hole in our hearts.

Coming up the weekend of May 3rd many friends of Joe will be holding a motorcycle run in his memory to raise money for a billboard to be placed somewhere along I-94 in North Dakota that will read "PTSD and depression is real. Get help now." with a phone number to call at the bottom. We don't want anyone else to do what Joe did when help is available to them 24/7. We are dedicating this not just to Joe, but to all the veterans who need help.
If you would like to take part in the motorcycle run the details can be found at http://www.trailblazermc.com/ . If you would like to help organize, help or have suggestions for the design of the billboard, or would just like to donate to the fund, you can contact Matt Leaf.

very, very sad... many who come back take this route. Some take it while they are still there. my heart breaks for them all.
