Sorry for being away again...

Life has had a bit of an upheaval here... our campaign is finished at work, so I'm finally on a "normal" schedule again!!! However, although not being on rotating shifts thru the summer is WONDERFUL... it cuts down on my "me" time a bit.

I'm taking a few more classes over at Big Picture Scrapbooking that have been challanging me to take interesting photos (I'll post some next week) and have been part of a couple of cutter file swaps. I can share with you the file I made for the Moms & Grads swap last month.

Enjoy!

Listography

I'm not sure if any of you have picked up the book Listography... I came across it in Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago and just LOVE it... if you use lists at all in your scrapbooking, it is a great resource... they also have a cool website that you can join and add your lists to... I joined this past weekend and have been having fun creating my own lists, as well as checking out other peoples lists... check out my list HERE.

Totally Off-topic

A year ago on April 26th, my husband and I lost a good friend. Actually Joe was more than a good friend, he was family. It hurt terribly to lose Joe, especially since it didn't need to happen. Joe lost his battle with Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and committed suicide. He had just returned from his second tour of duty in Iraq in November of 2006 and in April 2007 left us with a hole in our hearts.

Coming up the weekend of May 3rd many friends of Joe will be holding a motorcycle run in his memory to raise money for a billboard to be placed somewhere along I-94 in North Dakota that will read "PTSD and depression is real. Get help now." with a phone number to call at the bottom. We don't want anyone else to do what Joe did when help is available to them 24/7. We are dedicating this not just to Joe, but to all the veterans who need help.
If you would like to take part in the motorcycle run the details can be found at http://www.trailblazermc.com/ . If you would like to help organize, help or have suggestions for the design of the billboard, or would just like to donate to the fund, you can contact Matt Leaf.

Military Unity Ribbons

As you all know, my loving hubby and my son are both in the Army Nat'l Guard and I'm a PROUD Army Wife and Mom. So while playing with my new KNK software, I decided to make a unity ribbon and since I didn't want to leave out the other three services, I created ribbons for the Navy, Air Force, Marines as well as my FAVORITE... ARMY! Hope you all enjoy these!

Please remember that for those who use the GSD file version... I am using the updated version of RoboMaster, so you might want to download the DXF version. Also I've posted a terms of use on the sidebar.

Enjoy!

Please do not post my files to share on any groups or thru email, but you are welcome to pass along the link to my blog to anyone you would like to share the file with.

Birthday Book

Here is a photo of the Birthday Book that I taught at the Scrapnook on Monday night. It is made from bound 6 x 9 envelopes and Heidi Grace Birthday Paper. I used my silhouette and quickutz squeeze tool to cut the names of the months, titles and the cute candle on the front. I'm teaching this class again at the Scrapnook on April 22nd, and will upload more detailed instructions after that class is over.

Pay It Forward

Sorry for the hiatus... after the new year, I was feeling life overload... I finally picked up paper and adhesive again a few weeks ago and am feeling quite renewed. I've also joined the design team at the Scrapnook scrapbooking store in Fargo ND! I've been having a blast playing with all the new products!

I also purchased a Silhouette and am LOVING it! I've been creating some files of my own as well as finding some designers that I just love as well. If you have a cutting machine of your own, you should check out Visual Designs by Chris and The Latest By Mary for some cool designs. I also love Sticky Stuff for supplies and tutorials. I joined this amazing yahoo group called Silhouetteusers that has the most amazing people, ideas, and help!

On another note... I absolutely LOVE this idea that Chris posted on her blog yesterday and am going to give it a try here.

Here is MY Pay it forward... Chris offered 3 of her cutter designs for the first person to post a comment on her post if they offered a pay it forward reward on their own blog. I was second, but since I thought it was an incredible idea I'm going to post the challange here any ways... I will send a Close To My Heart retired stamp set called "Rustic Flowers" (see photo below- it is a $22.95 value and is brand new) to the first person to post a comment on this post. The only criteria.... you have to post your blog address in the comment here and you have to post a Pay It Forward on your blog to redeem the stamp set. If this goes well I might try to make it a monthly installment on my blog. Can't wait to see who posts and what their PIF is... Have fun and Scrap Happy!!
